Job Description
Luther Family Ford is searching for a light duty vehicle technician to join our Service Department as a Mobile Service Technician.
This position is responsible for performing Ford Recalls and light duty vehicle service repairs remotely, at the guests preferred place of business. All training provided.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Customer service
- Complete vehicle repairs using appropriate tools and OEM instructions.
- Perform mobile PM (Maintenance) Services.
- Provide support for the customer and answer questions.
- Order parts necessary for field repairs.
- Test drive vehicles to confirm complaint and/or repair.
- Maintain responsibility for minimal parts inventory.
- Maintain tool organization and maintenance on tools and equipment.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Mechanical experience in the automotive industry preferred. but will train the right candidate.
- Commitment to Luther Family Ford company philosophy regarding customer service.
- Ability to work independently without supervision at customer location.
- Positive and helpful attitude towards vendors, guests, and fellow employees.
- Well organized, attentive to detail, and efficient with time.
- Possess a willingness and ability to learn.
- Good communication skills including email, text, phone.
- Customer service skills for face-to-face contact with customers.
- Able to describe in written reports the mechanical and diagnostic work performed.
- Strong computer experience with email programs, internet browsers, and Windows-based programs.
- Clean and care for a service vehicle, tools, parts inventory, and equipment.
